The colonization of other planets by humankind is a long-held dream of renowned scientists and major research projects at the world’s leading institutions. For them, the path toward this goal must be paved, given the difficulty of implementation and the finite nature of life on Earth. The current situation, with changes in the climate, has only made this reflection more pertinent.
Now imagine that this project was successful and that a group of humans is about to land on another planet with the goal of establishing a permanent settlement. Certainly, the hope is to achieve better results than those obtained on Earth. To organize the group’s life and prepare future generations, one of the top priorities upon arrival was the construction of a school. There, a large library offers the entire population a collection of the most significant works produced by humankind. These include books, films, music, recipes, and other small works selected before departure to contribute to the project.
